Personal information

Bio
I help people and organizations perform at their best. My work includes coaching leaders, people/organizational development, and soft skills training.

Since 2019, I’ve been a long-term advisor to high-growth startups, building performance management systems, culture initiatives, and OKR + goal-setting structures. I’ve designed interviewing and hiring methods, conducted leadership training, and coached CXOs.

Other projects include being a course leader for India’s first professional women’s network, teaching executive presence and effective leadership. I’ve conducted training for various Indian and American organizations, ranging from a 5-week deep dive on the art of feedback for a billion-dollar startup, to single sessions on core values, managing conflict, emotional intelligence, etc. I’ve also advised multiple startups on pitch development for funding.

Past work includes coaching senior leaders in Harvard’s executive education programs on motivational speaking, developing extensive e-learning content for a corporate training platform, creating organizational agility models and Scrum master training, building resilience workshops for USAID officers and war-zone journalists, and helping launch a startup training college students on work readiness and employability skills.

I launched (and continue to advise) India’s first LGBTQI sensitization program for school students, and spoke at UNESCO headquarters about my work.

I’m also certified from the International Coaching Federation (ACC) and UNLOQ for e-coaching. I've coached over 40 clients on topics ranging from career planning and health to confidence and relationships. I have training in team coaching, mindfulness-based stress reduction, non-violent communication, intercultural leadership, and many others. On a lighter note, I’m always pushing myself out of my comfort zone, which ranges from performing in the Vagina Monologues to having worked in 5 countries.

Dive In:
A Self-Awareness and Personal Development Curriculum for Emerging Adults

Abstract

This paper outlines a semester-long, 28-session class, titled ‘Dive In: A Self-Awareness and Personal Development Journey’ for college students. Dive In is geared towards ‘emerging adults;’ students between the ages of 18-25. Through modules on self-exploration, emotional intelligence and personal growth, students will learn how to deepen their self-awareness, manage their emotions, and take charge of their lives. The sessions are highly experiential and use several positive psychology concepts and interventions. The course is built on the theoretical frameworks posited by prominent well-being scholar Carol Ryff and leading adult development theorist Robert Kegan. Dive In is predicated on the premise that self-understanding, a positive relationship with oneself, and development of the self are crucial to flourishing, which are key components of Ryff’s (1989) theory of well-being. Robert Kegan (1994) postulates that a certain level of mental complexity is necessary for modern life; by helping students develop meta-cognition of their psychological and emotional functioning, Dive In also aims to increase their level of mental complexity. The course is just a start; it is designed to function as a catalyst for students’ lifelong personal development journey. This paper recommends that, in order to build 21st century readiness in young people, university and school systems create a variety of programs like Dive In for students of all ages.
