Bio
Noof M. Aljneibi is a Quality of life and sustainability development advisor at the ministry of community development in the United Arab Emirates. Previously she served as Director of the Emirates Centre for Happiness Research ECHR at the United Arab Emirates University, the first research centre in the region. She has over 12 years of experience working with leaders in the UAE and international Researchers. Noof leads strategic partnerships and drives evidence-based policies and programs to support the UAE government’s vision; incorporating research in positive psychology.
Noof work includes initiating and sustaining local and international stakeholder management, research and analysis, and advocating for critical policy reforms in well-being.
Noof was instrumental in curating the United Arab University framework for well-being, which aims to promote well-being in the university community that would serve the university as prototype policies, concepts, and ideas for well-being in the country. She successfully created the Well-being Officer project– a multisectoral group of faculty and staff members within UAEU who committed to well-being in the workplace. Noof Published various research papers around well-being. And currently she is part of research group at flourishing program at Harvard University studying moral injury phenomena.
Noof holds a Master’s degree in Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania PENN. She is her class representative. In 2020 Noof was appointed as Advisor at Happiness Foundation Strategy which promotes well-being policies in India. In 2021 Noof was awarded the International Positive Psychology Fellow award, and she is the first female Arab to be awarded this fellowship.
