Principal of Ravenswood School for Girls, Dr Anne is an internationally recognised educational leader renowned for her work in the field of Positive Education and the wellbeing of young people.
Anne is Chair of the Excellence in Leadership and Teaching Council for the Association of Independent Schools NSW, Global Chair of the International Positive Education Network (IPEN) and Associate Chair of IPPA World Congress 2025 and former Chair and founding Board Member of PESA.
In 2024, she was awarded both the Australian School Principal of the Year, and the Australian School Principal of the Year (Non-Government) awards at the Australian Education Awards in recognition of her innovative leadership and exemplary work in the field of education.
The Teachers' Guild of NSW awarded Anne the 2022 Phyllis Evans Medal, a prize that acknowledges a 'distinguished educator of great standing'. Early in her career, she received a Teachers' Guild of NSW Award for Excellence in Teaching.
She has also been honoured with an Excellence Award for Principal Of The Year in the Australian Education Awards (2022, 2024), selected for The Educator Most Influential Educators (2023, 2024) and recognised on The Educator Hot List (2022, 2023).
Anne is the recipient of a Churchill Fellowship where she explored strategies to foster resilience in learning while based at Cambridge University. In 2019, Anne was the only woman among 5 educational leaders acknowledged for her ‘pioneering leadership and contribution in the field of Positive Education,’ at the Positive Education Global Summit in Philadelphia. In 2018, she received the Australian Speech and Communication Association Award for Excellence.
Anne has received PhD in Education (University of Melbourne). The research for her MAPP degree was recognised as a Distinguished Capstone.
Before her appointment as Principal of Ravenswood, Anne was Principal of Seymour College in Adelaide. Prior to this, she served as Deputy Headmistress, Head of Senior School and Head of Junior School, and an English and History teacher at St Catherine’s School in Sydney.
