Personal information

Bio
I’m a parenting expert, gratitude enthusiast, and advocate for authentic, imperfect parenting. With over 20 years of experience as a professional nanny and author of the award-winning The Middle of the Night Book, I’ve had the privilege of helping countless parents navigate the ups and downs of family life.

As the creator of the Parenting with Gratitude™ method, I aim to highlight the transformative power of gratitude in modern family life. My work focuses on encouraging parents to shift their mindset from external pressures to internal strengths, helping them uncover the resilience they already possess. Through mindfulness tools, research-backed insights, and honest conversations about the realities of parenting, I challenge the "Age of the Expert" narrative, advocating for self-trust and community support over unattainable ideals.

My mission is simple: to help parents find what’s already working in their lives and build on it—because, as I’ve learned through research and experience, most parents are doing far more than they realize.

Primary Focus
Gratitude can be the first step toward living a more mindful and compassionate life, both for ourselves and others.

In my work at Parent Differently, I draw from the latest research in positive psychology and a global understanding of modern motherhood to build trust with my audience: the detail-oriented, often burned-out Type-A Mom. As the creator of the Parenting with Gratitude™ method, I am dedicated to sharing the compound effects of gratitude in ways that are accessible, inclusive, and practical—helping parents move from overwhelm to empowerment by recognizing the strengths they already possess.
