Bio
After retiring from Deloitte following a 35-year career where he served in a variety of executive roles, Ted found his calling as an executive coach. He completed a leadership coaching program at Georgetown, launched Lead To Change – a non-profit focused on transformational leadership development – and has since earned his ICF PCC certification. Ted is a life-long learner, who has been fascinated with the behavioral sciences, who sees the study of human behavior as personally fulfilling and practically essential to effective leadership. Ted plans to leverage the principles and interventions of positive psychology in his coaching practice, and write a book based on a thesis he plans to develop as his capstone project. He is also considering continuing on to a PhD.
Ted lives in Menham and Long Beach Island in the summer with his wife, Karen of 40 years. His family is his passion with four grown daughters, two granddaughters, three son-in-laws, and an aging Boston Terrier who is the result of a bet lost to one of his daughters. Ted is an avid fisherman who enjoys fly fishing in the mountain rivers of Idaho, Montana, and Utah, as much as offshore fishing in the canyons of the Atlantic Ocean for big game fish like tuna, marlin, mahi, and wahoo. He also enjoys playing golf, but one wouldn’t know it from his handicap.
