Bio
Suzie is a Penguin Random House author, freelance writer and well-being consultant who specializes in the science of happiness and its effects on health and relationships.
Her 2010 Scientific American Mind cover story "The Happy Couple," addressing how to create happier marriages based on the science of positive psychology, was selected twice for a special issue. It was included in a 2012 Scientific American Mind special issue on the differences between men and women and a 2016 special issue on sex and the brain. It is also the catalyst for the book HAPPY TOGETHER: Using the Science of Positive Psychology to Build Love that Lasts (Penguin Random House, January 2018) that she co-wrote with her husband James.
Suzie also pens a popular blog, titled “Happy Together” for Psychology Today. She has profiled many of the field’s top scientists and featured their groundbreaking research in the Newsletter of the International Positive Psychology Association (IPPA) and in her "Science of Well-being" column for Live Happy where she is also a contributing editor.
Additionally, she’s a certified health coach helping people make better food/lifestyle choices.
Previously, Suzie directed PR campaigns for Fortune 500 clients as a VP at Weber Shandwick Worldwide in their NYC headquarters. She spearheaded the PR for The First World Congress on Positive Psychology and garnered coverage in USA Today, U.S. News & World Report, Time, Philadelphia Inquirer, and The Pennsylvania Gazette. Her proudest accomplishment is raising her son followed by co-founding with her mother a sponsorship school in India for disadvantaged children.
