Jennifer Marino grew up in Colorado and attended the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. After receiving her commission as a Marine Second Lieutenant in May 1998, Jenn became a CH-46E helicopter pilot, deploying twice in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. She has served as an instructor for junior pilots, flown and conducted ground support for presidential helicopter missions worldwide, and served as Aide de Camp to the 17th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Jenn holds a Master of Military Studies degree from the Marine Corps University Command and Staff College and a MAPP degree.
Jenn retired from the Marine Corps at the rank of Major in August 2013, eager to continue her service in the military and veteran space. As a celebration of her retirement and a tribute to fallen heroes, Jenn completed a 2,590-mile cross-country bike ride during which she visited nearly 90 Gold Star families to learn about their fallen heroes and share their stories with others.
With her passion for the outdoors and belief in the power of natural environments to facilitate peace, healing and growth, Jenn was honored to serve as the Executive Director of Boulder Crest Retreat for Military and Veteran Wellness from October 2013 – June 2015. She moved to North Carolina with her fiancée (now husband) in September 2016 and completed a master’s program in Health and Wellness Coaching at the Maryland University of Integrative Health in August 2018.
Now a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach, Jenn is supporting clients in the powerful work of behavior change to help them live more vibrant, fulfilled and balanced lives.
