Change Your Questions,
Change Your Results

Marilee Adams, Ph.D.

This webinar is an introduction to Marilee Adams’ Question Thinking work. She will describe and demonstrate how and why changing our questions really can alter results, both in our professional and personal lives. This cognitive-behavioral, strength-based approach stands on two legs: mindsets and questions (both internal and external). Distinguishing Learner and Judger mindsets leads to becoming a better observer, activating the potential of better seeing and managing the mind on a moment to moment basis. Simultaneously, the Question Thinking approach allows us to operationalize thinking in a way that provides some dominion over the thinking process itself. What then become visible are multiple openings for intervention and change that had previously been invisible and inaccessible.

In both theory and practice, the Question Thinking approach is aligned with other change approaches such as Emotional Intelligence, Positive Psychology, and Appreciative Inquiry. This quote from David Cooperrider appears on the cover of Marilee’s bestselling book, Change Your Questions, Change Your Life: “Marilee’s writings are by far the most profound articulation of the power of the question that I’ve come across. It’s true: we live in worlds our questions create.”
