Conversations Worth Having: The Key to Positivity
Dr. Jackie Stavros and Dr. Cheri Torres
Conversation is a crucial part of everything we do. It influences our well-being--a good conversation can leave us ready for anything, a bad one can ruin our whole day. But most of us are unaware of the nature of our conversations, let alone how to make them consistently affirming and empowering.
Conversation is at the heart of how we interact and it is pervasive. We are almost always in dialogue with ourselves or others. It's essential to everything we do, yet most of us don't realize how much it influences well-being. Just like the water in which fish swim, if conversations are toxic, the health of individuals and organizations suffer. The good news: two simple Appreciative Inquiry practices —positive framing and generative questions--can ensure we have conversations that support positivity and well-being. When conversations are fueled in this way, any conversation can become a conversation worth having, no matter how big or complex the challenge.
This webinar will show you how to foster poster positive change and to dramatically improve the outcomes of your conversations.
