Values Coaching with the Schwartz Values Framework
Jacob Morris, Founder, DiscoverYourValues.com
The Schwartz Theory of Human Values is one of the best researched values frameworks around. Chris Peterson mentioned it prominently in his Primer on Positive Psychology, and other researchers have taken up the framework and are carrying the work of Dr. Schwartz and his colleagues forward. (See the January, 2015, MAPP CPE with Mark Konty on The Science of Human Values at https://mappalum.org/CPE-Webinars.
Jacob Morris has joined forces with Dr. Schwartz to found DiscoverYourValues.com, with tools for coaching around the 57 component values of the Schwartz Values Framework. He will be launching a new app in the next few weeks that will let individuals take the Schwartz Values Survey for free and provide additional resources for those interested on a fee basis (much like viacharacter.org).
This program will focus on the impact of values on career, money, health, relationships, and decision making. You'll get an overview of the Schwartz Theory of Basic Human Values, and even better, some REAL APPLICATION - tools, practical applications, methods and techniques for guiding individuals in values-based development, the new web application, The Values Deck, a coaching certification program, etc.
This program promises to shine both for an overview of research AND practical applications!
