Speaker Bios:
Julie Haizlip, MD, MAPP is a Clinical Associate Professor of Anesthesia at the University of Virginia & Co-Author, Appreciative Inquiry in Healthcare: Positive Questions to Bring Out the Best. Her current research focus is on Mattering in Academic Healthcare.
Nicholette Kasman MD, MAPP, is an Associate Professor of Anesthesia specializing in Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesia at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Her expertise lies in leveraging the tenets of positive psychology to enhance team cohesion and bolster employee retention within the high-pressure environment of the operating room.
Sinthu Natesan, MD MAPP is a Board Certified Pediatrician and Pediatric Emergency Medicine physician. She is currently a volunteer Assistant Clinical Professor at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland and San Francisco. Sinthu is committed to a deeper understanding and constructive solutions for the well-being of our healthcare organizations with a special interest in trainee and medical staff education.
Kathi Norman, MAPP, PA-C, DMSc, is the founder of Positive MedicineTM, a stepwise approach to positive health and psychological wellbeing. She currently practices psychiatry. Kathi developed a successful physician assistant program incorporating positive psychology concept in the didactic and clinical year training. She volunteers for a local women’s recovery center providing positive psychology tools in recovery. She is a global presenter in the concepts of positive psychology in the practice of medicine including forgiveness and music as medicine. Kathi is the International Positive Psychology’s Health & Wellbeing Division’s president elect. She is on the board of the Global Positive Health Institute.
